Rubber cement is an ideal adhesive for patching a flat tire. This adhesive is made from elastic polymers mixed in solvent. The elastic polymers would form a strong but also flexible bond to tire tubes as the solvent quickly evaporates.
Some formula of rubber cement contain toxic solvents, such as acetone and benzene, which would cause damage on surfaces or are believed to cause certain cancers. Now, less toxic solvents, such as n-hexane and n-heptane, are more acceptable.
Shin Dorn offers rubber cement that uses n-hexane as solvent. It is safe and complies with European REACH standards. To achieve best results of puncture repair, rubber cement is often supplied along with tire patches and other bicycle repair tools.
★Industrial-strength adhesive: Shin Dorn offers tire cement that quickly forms bond and provides a long bonding range for bicycle tire tubes.
★Non-toxic and safe: Shin Dorn’s rubber cement is safe, easy and inexpensive to use. Adhesive complies with REACH standards, containing no DBP, no BBP, no DEHP, no DINP, no DNOP, no DIDP, and of course no benzene.
