The quality of adhesives (Adhesive Glue) packed in aluminum collapsible tubes have a lot to do with the filling and packaging procedures. Some adhesives, such as moisture cure silicone glue, are very sensitive to air and moisture and should avoid exposure to air during the process of filling. To protect this kind of moisture-sensitive adhesives, nitrogen filling is an essential procedure.

Nitrogen is an inert gas, odorless and colorless. It is unreactive at standard temperature and pressure and has been an ideal replacement for air where oxidation is undesirable. Pure nitrogen or nitrogen mixed with carbon dioxide, for example, is often filled in packaged foods to delay oxidation and can thus preserve freshness of food.

Nitrogen is adopted when filling adhesives because nitrogen gas can create and maintain a gas blanket to preserve reactive material integrity, keeping oxygen, air and moisture away from reactive adhesives.
